Absolutely no chance light years behind France, England Portugal and Brazil. Not one us players get in to any of the above squads.
This next WC will be the US best chance to make it far. The players will all hit their prime. Semi would be a dream so making it out of R16 at least should be the goal.

The USMNT has a good young squad. But I think to take the next step as a footballing/soccer country we HAVE to get better coaching who understand proper tactics. Plus majority of the Worldâs best teams have at least one world class player, the US has never had one in our history. Just my two cents, I still love & support my teamđșđž

Round of 16 exit is always the goal
The fact the USA got thrashed by Holland one of the weaker big teams in Europe shows they are not a top talented team.
If we are all being honest, making the quarters would be an overachievement. It really depends on the draw; being a host in 2026 helps with that.
There are multiple teams in Africa and Asia that would beat team US. Stop with the hype. They perform better in the underdog role. With the World Cup expanding to more teams there will be other teams on the same wave as team US.

This (Sr.) MNT is not ready to take the big jump until they get past the biggest issue. Gio Reyna. Once again his soccer reputation is back in the hands of Berhalter. Don't start him. Move him back out wide. Drop a comment in the pressers about his work ethic/rate. Etc It could be anything at anytime. The player's may have move on past this issue but it is more for Gio. It also went to the personal level with GGG.
