  1. I think you have to give Ferreira a solid stock up. Yes, it was against SK&N, but it's not like he was surrounded by Weah, Pulisic, and Reyna. I'm not saying that he is destined for greatness, but he took care of business, and is still plenty young enough to keep improving his game. Stock down on Cowell. He just didn't look good in this match and if you ding Ferreira for doing well against SK&N, you have to give Cowell a stock down for a meh performance against them. Stock up for Djordje. Stock up for Neal.

  2. I think Feirrera sucks as a 9. But he’s been impressive as a 10-ish player. He just doesn’t have the hunger, he often looks lazy and waiting around, but he’s been good at assists in this competition. His goals in the last game are meaningless.

  3. Putting Ferreira in the same sentence as Dempsey and Donovan is hilarious. He's a noob killer, maybe he'll get better but right now he's a noob killer.

  4. Cowell active but a total lack of quality and decision making. Get him out of there. Zendejas didn’t play well, but I think he deserves more chances. Reynolds, Neal and D. Jones all looked good. Keep them in the lineup. Add M. Robinson and that’s a great back 4 for this tournament. Start Vasquez and re-position Ferreira. Stick with Mihailovic/Sands/Busio for now… No more Sonora and both Morris’s. Sit them. Sprinkle in Roldan, Tolkin, Gressel as subs…

  5. Mihailovic, Reynolds, Neal (stock up) these are the only guys I can see competing for a World Cup Roster spot since we only have about 4-5 spots not already locked down. Djorde as a backup to Reyna at the 10 would be ideal, Reynolds as a right back option behind Dest/Scally (Don't need to see Yedlin any more), Neal is already better than Long and Miazga, he is a younger version of John Brooks calm, great on the ball, line breaking passes nice high ceiling and needs reps with the A team ………Ferreira, S.Johnson, Miazga, Jones, Busio (meets expectations) Jesus is not bad but he only scores against teams way below MLS level (Grenada, Trinidad, St.Kitts, and Mexico C team in "El Cashico"), agree with Herc he is not a contender for the 9 but may be an emergency sub for a winger or 10 in a pinch, Busio looked better than what we have seen in the past but hard to gauge against a weak team like this ……Zendejas, Cowell, Sonora (stock down) I really wanted to see more out of these guys and hope they can redeem themselves as the tourney continues.

  6. I'm with Seb on this. His stock went up but by how much? He only shows up against small nations that have little development in soccer. But I agree with Herc that he is NOT a forward. He needs to be pushed back a little bit as a 6 maybe

  7. Seb being the voice of reason Jesus shouldn't start for the USMNT and I feel Jesus likely regrets picking US over Colombia. St. Kitts is a meaningless game if that was against Mexico I'll give it props but it's not. using the gold cup as a standard is a bit of a joke where was he vs Jamaica? we need to see him play well against teams that can do something

  8. Ferreira is only 22 and will get his chance in a bigger league. He probably isn't any higher than 4th in the striker depth chart, but he will get the opportunities to prove himself. It will be sink or swim at that point, but it's absurd people want him nowhere near the national team.

  9. i mean you cant give Jesus Ferreira a stock down but lets not act like its some crazy stock up. dude has 11 goals in 20 games for the US thats great till you realize hes scored 7 of them in 2 games against st kitts and nevis and grenada. that leaved 4 goals in 19 games in other competition. yeah all you can do is play who is in front of you and he did look a signifgant tier above the competition but weve seen him against other quality opponents and he fails. mihilovic and busio and reynolds and mostly Jalen Fing Neal get bigger stock up's. Jalen neal and chris richards are the future for us at cb.

I think mihilovic should take luca de la torre spot as a back up creative mid in the A team. i dont see what others see from LDT all he does is get caught in possession and turn the ball over

  10. I agree with Herc most of the time but he is bugging. Jesus Ferreira's stock isnt up or down. Nothing changes even with this hat trick. He is mediocre at best only showing out vs bottom tier CONCACAF teams and non-existent vs teams with even a little quality. Maybe that is Berhalter's fault for a multitude of reasons, but not much to get excited about reagrding JF. Great Gold Cup player, but should see the pitch with the main team in meaningful minutes

  11. To even broadcast any debate about this game is an insult to the usmnt n I don’t mean to offend st kitts it’s just they never stood a chance to begin with. USA won move on why rate players in this game there were no challenges

  12. Herc is wrong. You MUST take into account the team you are playing a tiny nation with a shoestring budget for sure. Seb is quite correct…JF did good last night. But when facing the best teams…he fades.

  13. Luvin all this coverage on the USMNT & USWNT. I appreciate all the constructive criticsm because thats what these young guys need. Focus on what they need to improve on and continue to do the things they do well.

  14. Ferreira is obviously scoring enough to not go away but we've already seen him be a complete ZERO against higher-quality opponents. I'll buy back into Ferreira if he jumps from FC Dallas to a bigger club/European league.

  15. They beat Narnia. Congrats. Call it a win and move on. Understand that you can only beat what’s in front of you. But maybe do a 2 minute segment instead of a 10..

  16. The only player you can say was stock up in this game is Jalen Neal (and maybe Cade Cowell) because he could only go up or stay flat. Everyone else at best could stay flat or go down. To say Ferreira was a stock up is silly. He has scored 10 goals in 20 games. 7 of those were in 2 games against historically weak opponents. He had 3 goals in 17 other games. To say that Pulisic, Dempsey and Donovan played against Granada and St Kitts is silly. They score against much bigger opponents. Come on Man!!!

  17. The quality of US soccer has only gone down this past decade…
The youth development and fake club money grab system produces noting but mentally weak low IQ players who can solely dribble …..
Critiquing and scoring players after a game against a nation of 12 people is an effing joke…..
Concacaf as a whole is worse than ever…..
Weakest softest Mexican national team in their history…..
    6-0 should be 25-0…..
This is how bad they are …..
    This is without Gregghead…..
They will be back to 0-0 and 0-1 games…….
Scrap US soccer and start over with a 10 year plan….
All new people who have it been involved with any Youth clubs or national prospects…..
We need fresh eyes On developing players IQ …
    The where and when….
On the ball solely focusing on oneself is low IQ soccer…..
Team and playing to make your teammates better utilizing their entire field of play….
    One touch everyone moving …
    🧠

  18. Jesus Ferreira only scores against bad teams. He has yet to score against a real opponent. When he does that then we can say stock up. No hate on him but just stating the truth. I’m hoping he can get there but just saying let’s wait till he does.

  19. I remember Clint Mathis brace vs. Germany. The US got routed, but he was something else, coming back from a bad knee injury and it got him serious interest – Munich wanted him but MLS blocked him & it pissed him off. Ultimately he went to Hannover on a FREE where he did the infamous 'watch point' after scoring a goal. Unfortunately he laid an egg in the next match and never played again I believe.

For those that don't know… Clint Mathis was an incredible talent. Not heralded like say Donovan or Beasley at the time. Had he not gotten the ACL injury, that guy would've really been something else. He wasn't afraid of or nervous about ANY moment or ANY opponent but after Hannover that was kind of it.
