  1. Shocking news, but I don't think anyone could have asked more from Klopp and if he's feeling burnt out then he's more than earned his time off.

As for Liverpool, his departure will be tough but the timing is probably the best they could hope for given how there's an ideal succesor in waiting (Xabi Alonso)

  2. An awful and strange timing of this announcement. It's really very hard for me to understand and frankly forgive that Klopp did it now, in January, just before important games against Chelsea and Arsenal, including the Carabao Cup final. Why not do it in March or April? It will have a detrimental effect on the rest of the Liverpool season. It's as if Klopp didn't care if Liverpool win any trophy this season. Maybe he doesn't. A definite 👎 from me to Klopp for doing it in January.

  3. People saying that Klopp is leaving because the owners never gave him financial backing is just ridiculous. There is such a thing called burn out😐why can’t people just accept that.

Do some reading people and you’ll realize in Klopp’s own words that he’s leaving due to burnout. I read that it all started when his key players abruptly left to the Saudi league as that put a lot of stress on him. He was in the middle of talks for next summer window signings when that came over him, does that sound like someone who doesn’t have the backing? No.

  4. FSG will probably rehire Roy Hodgson after the latter's plan to get sacked by Crystal Palace and rehired by Liverpool comes to fruition.

Anybody wanting Alonso to take over from Klopp is likely going to end up being very disappointed. If he has a choice between the Liverpool job and a budget of £10 plus a six pack of pickled onion Monster Munch, or Real Madrid and being financed by the Spanish State and Spanish banks, it's obvious that he's not going to be plying his trade at L4.
