  1. only if craig burley or burnley was a player in messi era..his mindset would hv been different…was he even a player…how stupid and insensitive of him talking like this..he just tries to act smart

  2. To all haters, Messi been doing it big anyway he goes. Nothing new. Also don't hate the haters that has realized that yes he's truly the greatest so far. "If you can't beat him, you join him "😅😂❤

  3. Why there are only dumb and uneducated fools in the media?

Greatness recognized and respected greatness. There's nothing wrong to appreciation an opponent great value. Mike Tyson respect Muhammad Ali and other great boxers and talked about their greatness all the times

  4. Craig Burley hasnt enjoyed anything his entire life. He came out of the womb with a scowl on his face. The two old guys in the balcony from the muppets are based on craig burley and steve nicol

  5. Messi didn't do well in the champions league because there were tensions in the team. Many tims Messi ran to good positions and Hakima and other PSG players did not pass to him.
He acted as a play maker and support for Mbappe and helped his scoring totals.. After his defeat of France in the final the tensions between player cliques and the fan resentments got even worse. Despite all that Messi's goal contributions were only one less than Haalands. That's exceptional by any standard.
Craig Burley is talking through the bitteness of an average player, who wanted to be better than he was…

  6. Craig is annoying. And he had no room to talk. He said the other day he hasn't even watched a Miami game. How are you on ESPN FC and not watch at least one of those matches. You don't deserve to even say Messi's name.

  7. I absolutely hate how the negative on ESPN and elsewhere is that people need to stop Fanning Messi, when he is the greatest player to ever live. I think anybody in the presence of him we dropped their knees the same way these ESPN people would die for an interview with him

  8. 😂😂 why do you make messi videos you bunch of liers , isnt this frawning messi every hour .your jelousy you are enviying messis greatness😢😢😢😢😢😢

  9. Time for ESPN to have good pundits, these as players themselves were pretty ordinary, so expect nothing but ordinary. Bring in him some pundits who have done it all like CBS Golazo does! ESPN buckle up.

  10. These commentators who try to bash the MLS or Messi 😂 are pathetic, La Liga is not all that, the German league is boring and the Italian league is not like it used to be it’s also weak, Just look at those nations national team Spain 🇪🇸 Italy 🇮🇹 Germany 🇩🇪 they are weak, the USMNT can play toe to toe with these teams now just keeping it 💯

  11. i do not get it ? why people in espn doesnt use their brain properly? Chiellini had played against messi severl times, after the match they shook hands, swapped jersyis took pictures with his kids. these guys in espn wants chiellini to leave the stadium straight after the game and cry his bed all night cause he was subbed out for his bad performence.

  12. Some of these American 2:32 "pundits" have to learn the football culture before criticizing. First they changed the name to soccer, then they want to change the culture without understanding it

  13. Whoever started this meme that Messi was bad at PSG should be disqualified for future conversations. Craig Burley gets paid to admit on air that he barely watches Messi play anywhere, especially PSG and now at MLS. He prefers to play golf. He’s not an analyst. He has no business commenting. He has disdain, or at best, boredom when it comes to opining on anything other than Coventry or Fulham. Ballon D’bore. Looking at numbers from June: Messi has 37 goals compared to Haaland who is a beast – but a beast with one job to job, ping the ball in the goal. Pep guardiola is trying with all his might to turn him into a more complete player but he’s not finding it so easy. Ultimately, under Pep, I see Haaland becoming one of, if not the best strikers in history. But he’s got 1 main job, receive the ball from the greased machine behind him that is Man City and put the ball past the keeper. So, 53 goals. Messi’s grudgingly moved to PSG (Mbappe’s team) and played more of an playmaker role. He wasn’t desperate to score goals. But he played incredibly well under the circumstances of a disjointed team – a clunky engine. Haaland won the league. Messi won the league. Haaland won the Champions League. Messi won the World Cup. Haaland got 53 goals. Messi got 37.Haaland got 9 assists. Messi got 25 assists (!) So both got G+A = 62. Haaland got 8 pens vs 5 for Messi. Haaland scored 2 out of box goals. Messi scored 11. Am I going to say Haaland sucks at freekicks? I don’t know. That’s not his role. Should we even bother going into playmaking? No… because Haaland’s got some pretty good people doing that for him. Do we want to get into who scored more clutch goals in big games? Haha. Nope. What about chances created… what about dribbles… pass completion. I won’t bother. Just look at the number. Btw, Messi was a terrible goalkeeper (wait that’s not his role). It would be too much to ask for nuance. But this is like comparing Shaq to Jordan. Just stop it. Please. You can put numbers on Haaland. Maybe he’ll score 70+ goals in a year like Messi did. But what Messi has done and continues to do makes no sense. Hilarious.

  14. I dont know Craig Burley but he is a idiot then. Messi is the best player in the world and has done special things wherever he has been and lead teams to win many Trophies. The MLS is greatful to have him (and they should be) and he deserves all the attention and praise Messi gets.

I know many people (like myself) who are now following the MLS just because Messi is there, if he wasn't there the MLS wouldn't be getting so much attention.

  15. well messi makes us happy n enjoy football..ppl are jealous n whining but we have connection with messi wherever he goes we are in..so celeb fawing over is normal afterall they are human too..

  16. The only thing that Messi brought to the MLS was corruption ( just watch the Orlando game to confirm it). Everybody with intelligence knows that the world cup was a fraud and intentionally given to Messi. After all, per Transparency International, Argentina is 98th out of 180 countries in corruption ( 180 being the worst). You don't get that reputation of being corrupt out of the blue.
