Croatia and Spain faced off in Rotterdam, Netherlands, for the UEFA Nations League Final. Possession was near-equal in the first half with Spain knocking off six shots total and Croatia with seven. Three of Croatia’s seven shots were on goal, however none were successful. Halftime arrived nil-nil. Croatia took control early in the second half with an extremely close opportunity at 51’. Spain would strike back-to-back at 84’ and 85’ in attempt to take the lead in regular time. Tension grew as both 15 minute halves of extra time passed, still nil-nil. After a nail-biter round of penalty kicks, Dani Carvajal scored the 5-4 finisher and Spain was crowned victorious in the UEFA Nations League Final.

Many said "Croacia Deserved to win". That cannot be, Croatia cannot deserve Gold when Spain has won, with all due respect to Croatia, the same respect that Croatians do not have who say that Croatia has to win and "has deserved to win." It only deserves to win one and Spain has won by accepting Croatia's challenge of the penalties in which Croatia trusted so much, they already saw themselves as winners with their fans, "The penalties will give us victory carried away by the fans who will boo Spain and put nervous to the Spaniards and they will make the Spaniards fail". And with penalties, when it comes down to it, none of that is useful if the one in front of you is better.

Felicidades Espana…You were little be better then us..always liked your football tactic. 3 times champions euro 2008 wc 2010 euro 2012..I never saw stronger team in that 4 years..and now again Spain is one of the best. We croatians are like Nederlands.. so close but so far away.

It looks i'm the only one, but I don't sympathize Croatia at all, they always win in the extra-time or penalties, they don't really make good football but for 2 or 3 of their players, thay ara just a rocky and self-confident team (though thats good, no doubt about it), I don't really undesrstand why everybody seems so spellbound about tghem … :V
