  1. Soccer in America! Why are parents trying to involve themselves with their son’s playing time? Having said that, Berhalter is a complete fraud – utter unqualified to coach any talented group of players!

  2. A mom getting mad that a coach didnt play her son and trying to briing down said coach by talking to his boss is INSANE. This whole situation sounds like a highschool team story instead of a NATIONAL TEAM.

  3. The USMNT/MLS comes across as a mediocre soap opera because all the actors are a bunch of mediocre types (parents, players, coaches, management). The USMNT is the skill-equivalent of Spain's 3rd division (a semi-pro level).

  4. Just get rid of greg not because of this but just because he is not that great of a USMNT coach and besides this blackmail, his whole discussion of outing a player in WC and lack of effort should not have been taken outside of the team. He lost his team that day, now maybe he did that talk since he was already blackmailed etc…who knows regardless Gregg needs to go.

  5. Uhh yea she gotta retract the statement as not a “blackmail” b/c that is illegal and can be taken to court… its interesting she calls Ernie Stewart and Brian McBride “my close friends”, the “bosses” of Berhalter.. lol we all know what she was doing… anyways i support this! A mom going all mother bear over her cub is fine….

  6. Commentator has no issue with a coach making a player apologize for his behavior, telling said player the matter is internal and closed, then basically throwing the player under the bus to the media? I mean, i dont think what mama Reyna did was right either, but Berhalter shoulda kept his trap shut about the incident in Qatar. At this point its a pox on both their houses

  7. Thank you Taylor. YOU ARE RIGHT ALL THE WAY! This was 31 years ago for God;s sake! And the Cause is Gio's playing time?!? Get a grip Reyna's As Taylor said. This is Sad…..

  8. Wow. So you can absolutely question if Berhalter could have handled the playing time that Reyna got better then he did. You could question how the handling of the Gio issue once the media started asking questions and definitely after the cup when he gave that Ted Talk of sorts. But whether he could have played that better or not what we have going on here is the Reyna family as a whole is nothing more then a bunch of spoiled, entitled, narcissists. From Gio and on up to both of his parents. All three of them are spoiled brats. Gio’s conduct got him into the situation he was in, and then daddy and mommy didn’t like that their son was being punished and they stomped their feet, cried and put themselves before and above not only that entire roster that was there but US Soccer as a whole. They are so outrageous that they didn’t just try to deal with Berhalter but they dragged his wife and thus their kids into this mess. These people are all supposed to be life long friends and they act like this??? US Soccer probably should just part ways with Gregg Berhalter because now this has become a circus that will follow him but US Soccer should absolutely sever ties with Claudio Reyna as well. I believe in letting Gio atone for his part of this and trying to further his career and his place on the national team but Claudio Reyna should not have this kind of reach nor should he be allowed to put this kind of stain on US Soccer. This is disgusting

  9. First, you’re forgetting Berhaulter outted Gio publicly over something Behauotwr had promised to keep quiet. Trust was broken there. Gio’s mother took the information public once he did that. I don’t condone it, but I understand a parent hitting back and hitting back hard.

Secondly, SINCE that information has been provided, US Soccer admits several other staffers have reported inappropriate behavior about Berhaulter, and those investigations are ongoing.

That’s a fuller picture of a sad situation.

  10. Tournament-winning teams do not usually have these types of issues internally or at least they act very professionally on these matters and all of this because of lack of sufficient talent.

  11. I guess from now on all the candidates to new coach of the national team will require the Reyna's approval. They will hire a P.I. to investigate each candidate just in case their son doesn't get enough playing time. 🤦‍♂️🤣.

  12. Ive been breathing for 25 years and have never once kicked a girl while in an argument. Weird how we’re all forgetting that’s the point being made 🤷‍♂️
