Davies, Hutchinson, Miller, Larin & the MLS players had not played for a while & were not in top form, especially with there shooting.
Remember that Canada topped Concacaf through the qualifiers in scoring.
i live in belgium and i admid that canada was better
I personally didn't see 2 missed penalty calls.
i don't understand why waste time and effort covering north american meme teams !!???
People keep saying canada dominated, theyb played their best and belgium their worst and still lost… doesn't seem like a domination to me
Canada just Needs to Finish their Dinner! otherwise it was a very good performance.
What a bad referee!!! Couple penaltys not given to Canada. Respect to Canada they played very good
As a Belgian, this was the poorest match I have seen from Belgium in years. I get that this is the first game and big teams have to get worked in to the world cup a little bit, but there was no excuse for this performance. You can't blame it on the age when the coach only uses the good young players the last 20 minutes. But even so, a lot of players were really disappointing if you compare it to their normal qualities.
The Ice Ballers Cometh. ⚽ 🇨🇦
Now they need to scoreth.
If you can't finish then all that great play means nothing
Great job Canada, you brought it to the #2 ranked team, nothing to be ashamed of
Saudis defeating Argentina, Japan defeating Germany…and now Belgium defeating Canada. Surely this is a World Cup of upsets!
If this guy is allowed to host by saying dumb things like 10pm play time, I think I can run the presidency. This guy lacks substance.
I was a senior at Chinook Middle School in Lacey, Washington when Kasey Keller (former Seattle Sounder and USA goalkeeper) was a senior at North Thurston High School. I watched his last match (Keller was locally renowned back then and sporting a mullet) when Chris Henderson (another former Seattle Sounder, also renowned, with a mullet) scored a free kick from about 30 yards out to knock the Rams out of the postseason. A year later, North Thurston finally won the state championship.
30 years later I'm watching Keller on television talking about the World Cup. What a world, is all I'm saying.
Anyway, Canada blew my socks off this morning. Woulda, coulda, shoulda is the truth of Canada's endeavor. Belgium got away with murder in the first.
Larin is so slow and painful to watch
Davies blew it for Canada
In football, it's about 1 thing: scoring 1 more goal than the other team.
The rest is unimportant. Belgium was better.
The penalty was never a penalty. It came after a wrongly accorded corner kick.
Didn't look good on corners and free kicks at all. Details.
AD should not be taking pks. David or Larin or Eustaquio or others first. Ref missed 1 if not 2 clear pks
