  1. I total agree with you Frank our game is Football not this American word Soccer their game American Football is played 95% with their Hand, its more handball than the 5% they use occasionally with their foot, no worries Frank every other county in the world knows our game as Football, "Lol"

  2. England still had a chance to qualify, as did the Netherlands, after the shock draw, but Iran and Senegal can't be harassed. They are absolutely the best team of Africa and Asia.

  3. A tie is a loss for the US. A tie does not change that the US has to beat Iran to advance. A win would've made it so US advance on a tie or win vs. Iran. Greg Berkhalter did not coach accordingly. Yet Americans and the media are so happily celebrating this lost chance.

  4. This is EXACTLY the reason y every other football fan on the earth 🌍 cant stand these snob english football fans … Boo other countries' National Anthems… then play okay against Iran n all of these fans chanting at the stadium " Its coming home, football's coming home " apparently ❗ … What Home ❓ … Which Home ❓ … its close to 57 years since they won 1 so how does 1 keep calling its coming home or does a normal person visit home once in more than half a century❓❓❓ ..

  5. When draw is the result, the one who got scrutiny is whom put more wasted investment. Bet you laugh at City's last 2 results despite their wealth
England cant score vs a country's 4th most popular sport after you invest the whole England 's sport resource.

  6. It's always overated England. People keep saying EPL is better than MLS.

EPL is nothing without foreign player. Look at all the overated 100million English player….one world "hahahaha"

  7. The simple fact was, the US played to win and England just wanted to avoid a defeat (probably Southgate's instructions).
A draw meant England pretty much guaranteed their advancement into the next round, but a draw/lost in this game would do nothing for the US as they would still have to beat Iran.

So this game was pretty much a free hit for the US, with nothing to lose and everything to gain.
Hence, why they played on the front foot.
England, on the other hand wanted to avoid a defeat at all costs because that would make a final game against arch rivals very awkward, and you could tell England were nervous as they couldn't string their passes together.

  8. It’s not true that this performance is where we’re at. It’s where we’re at with Southgate managing. I like the guy, but imagine Ten Hag for example managing that match, or Pep. Respect to USA for great strides but we should have won comfortably if Southgate played even half aggressively
and actually took the form players to tournaments, rather than his staid favorites. England were lucky to get a draw. We have the talent but didn’t use it; so that we were so passive that we invited on the USA constantly. The substitutions were late, Mount shouldn’t be starting or going at all, and we should have started with our more aggressive players. We can frighten sides and throw them off, as any team must to succeed, we have that ability, but we didn’t bother USA in the slightest. The difference between Shaw for Ten Hag and Southgate sums it up, for example. He makes dozens of dangerous runs for United
maybe 2 for England. Toothless Lions, sleepwalking.

  9. I know some people will make fun of the USA for lack of success but let’s be real ,the USA only started taking this sport seriously around 20-30 years ago ..England have been playing this sport since like the 1800’s and only have 1 World Cup to show for it

  10. Soccer was soccer in England until Latin America started calling it football. American football was played on foot versus the rich folks playing on horseback. By the time Europe started calling it football, the US already had a very successful football league, regardless of why it was named. No need to change.

  11. LETs put some real comments.
1- this comentators are painfull to ear, if small or less rich nations play , they come and they mock and they bash them, but when richer nations play , its like there is the real football, and even if they dont play nothing they show respect ( witch is fine but normally you bow to symbols of power, and that is what small minded people do, like this comentators )

2- USA vs ENGLAND was a bad game, low level, England showed no hunger and average game play to be a bit positive even though their game even did not deserve such positiveness.
USA show they were afraid witch is normal they are the less experienced in that game, but little by little they tried to come up and that is courage and the way to go, but with the time roling they were unable to make good play on the final third of the field, they allways made the wrong pass the wrong decitions, they show that have not the different player that any sqaud needs, so they were just the mesure of what they are, average team with some phisical capacity like normal humans that have physical training and are taller than some other teams, so when footballl drops to be just a display of athletes nothing more, there are no big footballers on this 2 teams, maybe england has a bit more on this department, but they were more confortable managing point than actually interested in the investment of going for the kill… SO it was a boring game , no goals…maybe the last game of this group now becames more interesting.
THERE WAS NO PLAYER to be talked about and that says it all for this game.

  12. Said before the tournament Southgate's pragmatism approach will expose him as a fraud. Tonight we saw another nortorious England bad performance, that was lacklustre lacking any intensity. Make no mistake Southgate told them to be very cautious, and settle for a draw rather than playing a free-flowing attacking display

  13. This is what happens when people like Jason Cundy go on radio and talk about how Mason Mount is better than Neymar, Saka over Vinicius Jnr and Rice over Casemiro. English football is still full of dinosaurs who view skilled players with suspicion and love the energy, big or strong guys who never stop running even if they look like headless chickens with no end product.

Ultimately this is a good reminder for England, pundits and fans. This is what England have been doing on the pitch since winning the Euros. That Iran result was an anomaly. This was good to humble and calm down people. And it showed that there's still a long way to go and it will not be easy

  14. Imagine if soccer was the top sport in the USA from the beginning (late 1800s) and the U.S. had a proper soccer culture like most countries. The U.S. would have won multiple World Cups by now
