Craig really doesn’t like Barca
Not even the formation Barca used lmao
Am I the only one that really doesn’t think Craig is a good journalist/analyst? I’m a bit biased becsuse I support Barcelona but he keeps saying we can’t defend but WILL NOT acknowledge that we lost our two best CBs to injury during the worst time possible. A little unfair for him to target us with no real logic
What B'S nonsense this guy on….lol
its not hard to understand. everything was against them
No it's not hard to see why they struggle on Europe.
If Man City lost Dias and Stones or Liverpool lost VVD and Matip they would struggle bit time. So Barca lost 3 CBs it's normal that they conceded goals.
“They can’t defend. They can’t defend” blah blah blah. Don’t get it twisted, there were mistakes in tactics and team selection by Xavi, but to keep going on about the defending being poor while dismissing the fact that the team was without their top 3 center backs is just insane. You build a team with a plan in mind and then in the midst of the most challenging games of the season, the defenders you were counting on get injured, ANY team is going to struggle. Barcelona played with a mistake prone, undersized 21 year old and an old washed up Pique who never had much pace to begin with (and who the manager didn’t even really want) as their only true center backs in the biggest matches of the season and your sitting there blabbing about how they can’t defend. It’s just stupid. Acknowledging the team’s back line being ravaged by injury isn’t an excuse, it’s just reality.
But the game against inter and Bayern were so unlucky hard to say they were not outplayed individually mistakes as usual
This is whole point of football out play your opponents keep the ball
Craig is spot on💯
Can we not give credit to Xavi?
People talk about how bad he is tactically when he loses but he outclassed Valverde tactically.
Playing four in midfield to flood and control was excellent.
I hope Barcelona go through their group
XAVI tried a new formation.
4:2:3:1, not 4:3:3 as you are displaying. That's why Athletic got confused with the new system
When barca win: the opponent was horrendous. When Real Madrid barely wins against a relegation team: Controlled victory
I expect nothing more from C. Burnley.
He has no compliments for Barcelona. When he does he first criticises heavily or says the opponent wasn't good enough 🤣
How can we defend well with two of our best CB out
Kounde just came back
Araujo is still out. Belerin just came back
Balde still very young to the first team
You'll should CALM THE F
DOWN
Super weird how they never mention that we picked up 9 injuries during and after the International Break… 9 Players spending time on rehab instead of playing with the team… They couldn't possibly affect the chemistry and continuity of the team…..
Balde was different Breed!!!
They just can’t say Barce were good only that the other team played a poor game.
Craig Burley has great insight. I always enjoy listening to his analysis…
Imagine losing against Barcelona
This is consistent pretty much with how every team in La Liga will play Barcelona in the hopes that they can peg back Real. There is no excuse for this shambolic display from Bilbao who has been in a good nick of form otherwise. Shameless and a big disservice to the league.
Craig is incapable of giving full credit to Barca when they play well
I'm a barca fan but this game didn't faze, yes I did want then to win, but cause this is the same lineup that real matrid schooled them minus de jong
Valverde helping out is former club
what accent is he speaking in? the man wearing a grey suit
I was there in the stadium lastnight and seeing Marcos Alonso playing CB tells a lot about laliga standard😮
As a Barcelona fan, i didn't get excited about the Bilbao win because i don't think Bilbao were on their A game. Most of their players were not in the mood.
The real test is against the tougher opponents in the Champions league.
Craig is an absolute disgrace. He shouldn't be speaking about anything other than pub prices.
I will wait until the mid-week game.
Champions League games marred by bad luck against Bayern-not finishing their chances. Poor officiating and injuries-whole backline missing in the first leg against Inter and more injuries concern in the second leg of Inter game. It is not hard to figure out why they're standing precariously on the table.
