So it'll only disrupt the Premier League calendar and more other leagues? Do the teams in other leagues have to play fewer games than Premier League teams?
high time to scrap that 2nd domestic cup
Why just prem teams, this is adding fixtures to all leagues with 20 teams. And while we can say less fixtures already for leagues with 18 teams, this makes their conditions even worse given they don't know how to plan for this
It's adapted on top eleven now. Believe me. It's a PAIN to play if you want to stay long competing for all competitions
Its not just the prem, its all the leagues
How there hasn’t been huge backlash to this surprises me
EPL should have a winter break.
This format definitely benefits bigger clubs. it's hard to imagine an underdog winning Champions League now
Drop the league cup
New system Is trash
City is the only premier league club that can handle this
Just get rid of the Carabao Cup it's such a pointless competition
One thing people don't mention is the after season fatigue.
Yes players will be more tired during the season and the injuries will multiply but man the summer tournaments are the ones who will suffer the most.
The last Euro was already awful because all the star players were exhausted, but now lmao. Its going to be even worse.
So basically expect more players to be injured this season?
Bobb as a striker?🤨
Injuries 😢
Well if theyre worried about too many games they could just not play in it. Oh wait…
Just cut the carabao, let it be a competition for team from mid table to league under. Every team who's participating in Europe competition, can cancel their participation in carabao/league cup
Prem teams will drop out the league cup and maybe the FA
All 8 group stage games being important is a good thing.
The last 2 fixtures coming so late in December and January is the bad thing.
But the bigger talking point here might be that it's probably about damn time the English clubs fix their horrible schedules to at least match the rest of the leagues, most other clubs are on holiday while the English clubs play late into Christmas and New Year's, unless you have 3 Starting Line-Ups worth of depth in your squad like Man City, it is a pretty Noticeable Disadvantage in European competition.
The FA should just get rid of FA cup replays.
You guys are doing too much with the stupid league cup anyways, if a team wins the PL, UCL and league cup, its not called a treble so they adding games for themselves honestly
Premier league teams are not only teams that are going to be affected by it
So it's more competitive? Good
All for footballer getting more rest and there being less games but this new format actually makes it more interesting
They fixed something that wasn't broken.
You really need to build two first team worthy squad like Man City to compete.
suffering from success. not chelsea's problem 😂
Liverpool have Man City Real Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen in the space of a month
Oh no, clubs won't be able to take an easy route in a competition called the 'CHAMPIONS' league
Welcome to the Big Leagues Aston Villa 😂
More doesn't mean better. I can barely keep up with the regular season.
UEFA: Oh no… anyway
