  1. O'Nien and Ballard are some of the worst footballers I've seen – judging by this performance, they are lucky to be even playing at Championship level. Bellingham isn't even a shadow of his brother, all the hype and was probably the third worst player on the pitch next to the aforementioned O'Nien and Ballard.

  2. It’s crazy when you can easily tell a team is just better at football. Simply watching them pass the ball was enough to see the clear gap in skill. Prem teams are really leagues above others

  3. Newcastle had Sunderland rattled from the get-go. Bullied them physically and didn’t allow Sunderland to get into their usual rhythm. I wanted to see a better matchup given Sunderland’s recent year’s attacking football but Newcastle knew exactly what to do

  4. Newcastle were well geared up for this one and didn’t even have to shift into second gear. Sunderland bottled it! Also if you go 3-0 down in a derby and don’t get a man sent off then those players on that pitch in red and white don’t know the meaning of this rivalry. Sad really but tempers need to flare up in these kind of games man.

  5. I think sacking mowbray and getting in michael beale may be a huge mistake by end season for Sunderland well played Newcastle fully deserved the win didn't even look like they broke a sweat 😅

  6. I enjoyed that! :0)

Nice to see a true blood and guts, Derby Cup Tie.

Made all the better by no VAR interfering every 5 minutes for half an hour at a time.

Just a shame Sunderland had to shoot themselves in the foot, three times and it really was not Ballard's day was it.

The OG couldn't be helped, if Ballard had not got there, Isak would have, but the second goal, as a Defender, if you are the last Man you do NOT poddle about with it, by trying to beat an opposition Forward.

As for the penalty, well…there really was no need for that foul and enough said.

It was a shame Sunderland could not have offer more going forward and they should have gone for it more, but still an enjoyable game and reminded me of the time when Football was fun and didn't have all the theatrical ham acting, rolling around on the ground for 10 minutes at a time, like they had been shot., every time they were breathed on.

More of this for the future please!!!
