  1. Man United Wingers finally concerned abt creating and tracking back then scoring themselves as have been through out most games. BUT still say let a right footed player play right wing and left footed play left wing it makes crossing the ball and created much easier and makes for fast transition. This thing of cutting in from right or left to shoot its becoming to predictable and it slows down play.

  2. Contrary to all your opinions, United were not poor in the 1st half, maybe in their defending for the 2 goals.
But immediately after that 2nd goal, United really went out and put it on Villa. To be honest, I think they were unfortunate to go in on the break 2-0 down. At the very least, they deserved a goal in that half.
You lot making it look as if United only played well in the 2nd half. That's not true. They did play very well in the 1st half too. They were just unfortunate to concede those 2 set-piece goals.

  3. If Rashford plays at his best for the next half of the season then top 4 is in the bag. Call me delusional but Rashford on his day is the best player in the world issue is that his day comes 10 times at most every year

  4. For me… both our wings were dangerous today… rashford and garnacho , that was a major difference….
I enjoyed the game and second half was on the edge of my seat…
This way we played most of last season…
My angst with eth, if he can get the personal right, give them what needs to be done and this team will try and deliver but he has yet to build from last season, we still can’t defend set pieces, the interplay between players can be better…
But am pretty sure we will be better second season with rashford coming into form and if the right personnel are used and we get liccha back, we just might make top 4

  5. My thoughts:
    1. Idk what game they were watching, but United played relatively well in the first half. Besides Onana making another mistake on the first goal and the defense (mostly Varane imo) doing a terrible job on the second goal, the half was fairly even, and I'd even say that United were better. The first 20-25 minutes were feely and Villa scored two set pieces, but then United dictated the last 70 minutes of the game. Other than the two goals that shouldn't have happened, I don't remember Villa really having a serious chance on goal and Watkins hardly ever got a touch.

    2. The press from United was really good, the best it's probably been all season. It's fair to say that Villa kept turning the ball over while playing it out from the back, but it's because United actually pressed well and forced those errors. Gotta give credit to United on that.

    3. How tf do they mention Villa's injuries and them being forced to play with a different defensive lineup but not also mention United's injuries or change in the defense? lmao We had a RB at LB (Dalot does better there tbh) and a 5-6th choice senior citizen as a CB, and we've had 10 (iirc) different CB pairings at this point. That's not counting the other handful of injuries that we've had since pre-season until now: Amad, Martinez, Casemiro, Mount, Malacia, Maguire, Shaw, Amrabat, et al. Crazy that they almost refuse to mention our injury list, but never fail to mention injuries whenever Spurs or Newcastle are concerned.

    4. Playing Eriksen instead of McTominay is what let us dictate the game. McTominay should be permanently relegated to being a sub unless injuries force him to be played. United need a proper 8 to take over from Eriksen, and hopefully that's Mount when he's back fit, or Mainoo as the 8 and Amrabat/Casemiro as the 6. There are some good options there if the whole squad is available.

  6. Terrible first half? I have to question these guys ability to read the game, our plan did not change the whole game, the body language was good from the first whistle, the effort was there from the beginning, the difference in the second half was better execution of the plan and Villa playing worse.

To say United were doing the same old thing in the first half is not true, Villa scored off two set piece goals where United lost concentration in both, it’s wild to say we had a terrible first half because the performance was there, the game plan was there, you guys have no idea what you’re watching if you think the first half we weren’t doing that.
