Obviously, like all things in life, a turnaround from the horrible last season we had will take some time. However long that time will take can depend on a lot of factors. But with so much talent at our hands and a proven manager, I think it's looking much better now. We just need to give Pochettino his time, he's a great manager.
All these pundits said the same about TT…His first game was a draw against Wolves
In my opinion, nothing was wrong with Chelsea until Tuchel sacking. Potter and worse of all lampard were disasters for Chelsea. the owners didn't help with the bloated squad.
I would have preferred we hired Enrique before the season ended, bygones.
I like Poch. I think he's a great Coach and we get us playing with an identity. I remember his spurs team were hard to play against with the pressing and attacking style. They usually had wins against big teams including City, Real, United, Chelsea, and Arsenal.
I'm confident we'll fight for top 4. We need to get Caicedo. And a purely creative midfielder who is a natural 10. Put Nkunku as the 9. Pivot Enzo and Caicedo. Our fullbacks are among the best. Tiago Silva is actually better than Van Dijk ATM. Fofana, Colwill, Badiashile, one should come good to pair Silva. Play Mudryk because I think he can be our Vinicius, so many similarities with his early plight.
Chelsea should make Florian Writz their number ONE target next season. That guy is a joy to watch.
Is mason mount Already join United?
Well, we thought we had a spine Kova- Jorginho or Kova-Kante or Kova-RLC- Gallagher or Kova- Enzo. Look what happened last season.
Poch will have to rethink this midfield thick and fast.
Another issue with Chelsea was the goalscoring capabilities. Last season we couldn't count on anybody.
This season:
1. Nkunku: Unproven in the EPL
2. Broja/Jackson: Unproven in the EPL
3. Mudryk: Lacks massive confidence
4. Madueke: Spends all his time dribbling and not scoring.
5. Sterling: Frustrating runs, and another Havertz in disguise.
6. Enzo: Occasional long-range shots, nothing more,
7. Chilwell and James: Can score when fit or in-form, but cannot count on them all the time.
More than a spine, I'm concerned of our attack.
the club destroy it self since todd boehly came n why roman got judged? its putin who wants war not him. look at israel they attacks palestine n got no judge at all rest in peace fifa
"A coach of Mauricio Pochettino's pedigree" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Most Chelsea fans just aren't appreciating two facts:
1) Pochettino's brand of football is dull, dull, dull. People talk like he's a cross between Pep and Klopp. Have they forgotten the state of Spurs in his last season, never mind the state of his PSG team (PSG fans were glad to see the back of him)? Pochettino got very lucky by being there at the same time Kane emerged (btw he didn't play him until forced to by a Soldado injury). Pochettino is a busted flush, a never-was, a mediocre manager who has proven his loser credentials.
2.) Chelsea's squad is embarrassingly bad. Just look at who's in goal and work forwards. The idea that Jackson (a player Bournemouth rejected signing) and Nkunku (a Bundesliga flat track bully) will be the source of goals is laughable. There's also zero creativity in that team so even if there were good finishers, who's setting them up?
This is before you even factor in other teams improving!
Chelsea are on course for another scrappy season and mid table finish which, after spending the best part of a billion pounds is just disgraceful.
Boehly priority since the day 1was spending 😂..and so on..
This will be poch's last top job? He will be sacked by christmas !!! He bottles it under pressure ?
Chelsea not the same anymore..the government of England messed up Chelsea with their politics and i feel they wanted to destroy chelsea years ago
Stevie is always blinkered and biased whenever it comes to Chelsea. We are building a team and it will take time, if we manage to get Caicedo and anyone of Lavia/Cherki/Veiga, we will be in a good shape to aim for top 4-6, and build from there. A lot would depend on Pochetino’s coaching and organisation of the team.
Its a process one the second time without champions league football look how long it's taking Manchester united to get back to what they use to
Craig still playing for chelshit?
Stevie knows everything he is so bias
Chelsea isn't part of any competition except the league…meaning less played matches than the rest….If Pochettino failed to even be in the top 4…I am sure he will be fired…
I'm not saying he can turn things around with the snap of his fingers but he has good players in every possible position in this squad… A top four finish is the bare minimum
Y’all would be the first to criticize them same players that left. I’m a Chelsea fan I’m more than positive.
Dont know why this anchor worried so much about Jackson who have not touched the ball in PL
Tbh chelsea have made a huge mistake offloading a champions league winning squad with Thomas tuchel. They should have given him time.
Chelsea need so much more new players otherwise they get relegated
Please i beg you, don't mention lukaku 🙏🏼
6:58 Only have Craig Burley! What is this pl3b on about!
Chelsea can finish 10th and win the league on the following season..never doubt us "theprideoflondon"
Poch is burnt out ! Believe me
😢
TOTTENHAM 2.0
We haven't lost anybody who we can't replace.
I don't agree the grape juice monk Stevie mostly. In this case, he is right. Pooch is a serial loser who has come to finish our CFC.
Well I guess Chilwell played for Brentford then after that UCL final
ok
If there is a club that can finish 12th and Win The League, finish 15th and win the UCL, it's Chelsea 😅.
The club is going into the right direction, the wage build was high now it's great an this team will cook
enzo and craig burley?
Some of this is missing the biggest reason for Chelsea's inconsistency last season .Graham Potter didn't fit their needs but , after that , they basically spent the rest of the season with other short term managers that the players couldn't invest in because of their short term nature . Those players , though , were approaching good enough the previous season to be challenging for trophies and a top four position . The players haven't changed and , if Pochettino recognises that , he won't need to move on half the team , just basiocally work on who they were , how they played and what they were missing the previous season to get them challenging for top four again and progressing .
Don't rule Chelsea out of contention for the top four this season . I think we're going to see a more stable Chelsea , Tottenham and Liverpool this season and this season will end up basically being the usual top six challenging for the top six places .
Well apart from the solid 204m on transfers, chelsea also got rid of 100m in yearly wages, thats over 500m in usual 5yr contracts, then new sponsors at 60m /yr (300m)
Chelsea will save 1B pounds from their 5yr project.
The ticket sales & "UCL" revenue can be used to sign players, 1 in 1 out.
Shed Lukaku, Cucurella, Chalobah, CHO, Pulisic and Zicech for another 80m + and add Caicedo and Osimen/Vlahovic or Toney/ Mitrovic and problem sorted. Also got all the exciting youngster signing up for Strasbourg
Did i hear Jules say Chelsea midfield only has Enzo and Craig Burley?!?!?! How are these guys still being paid as pundits??
Poch is no mug and I bet he is excited at new challenge, you pundits and media constantly knocking Chelsea with usual biase is laughable
Not a Chelsea supporter but in 2 years Chelsea will be competing with City, they are lucky to get Poch. If they give him full authority they will be at the top in England and Europe, he knows how to make a squad and how to make them play. I honestly thought he was going to United, their board is so useless it's like a no brainer get Poch in but they fucked it up as usual lol. Then again that was probably more to do with giving away their power eh. It seems he has been given full say in all football matters, the best decision Todd Boehly will ever make.
And gets sacked tomorrow 😳
You never know. At spurs he had a bunch of garbage in general but a few who understood and did well quickly, southampton was very quick to show his skills, PSG had a bunch of players, known prima donas who do what they want and at chelsea he has some of the most talented youngsters in the world, hungry for success, on long contracts, others desperate to orove last season was a freak occurrence.
On top of that we have seen managers come in and hit the ground running more than once at chelsea.
Nothing is for sure but probably a bit of wishful thinking from stevie considering Liverpool weren't much better most of last season.
Chelsea will surprise u guys…
These pundits are idiots they no nothing about any team and just talk talk talk.
ESPN last couple of months: Chelsea has a big squad problem.
ESPN today: Chelsea don't have enough players! Unbelievable clowns 😂😂😂
So you are asking a Liverpool fan to be positive about Chelsea????
Yet no one ever speaks about Newcastles turnaround
Mudryk should not be forgotten. He can still come very good.
Poch has a top quality squad. Hopefully they dont gel but I am worried they will be so much better. They still have time to get a striker.
If the 2 they bought are it then they struggle for top 4.
Couldn’t get it done in France but to be fair messi was to blame
Is there a lot of road/cars passing by noises in the background of this video?
