  1. Greg is a kook! the player's do not need personality, they need character! Greg has got the player's scared and confused. they have no chance under Greg, he has no idea how to get his team to perform. the player's are weak, but Greg makes them even weaker.

  2. "Personality?" This is futbol!!! Not a beauty pageant!!! How about some effort? How about some fire? How about making a change before you go down a goal? The problem is that Berhalter has forced players to perform in a system that's foreign to almost everyone of them. They are thinking away any skill or physical advantage.

  3. Levels to the game. The WC isn't just CONCACAF, there won't be any sub-zero temperature games against a disinterested Honduras squad, nor will be there home games against the likes of El Salvador. The US team and its beer league coaching staff are about to be exposed in front of the entire world.

  4. I knew we were in trouble after the US lost 2-0 to Canada and said that they dominated the game. This team does not own up to their mistakes and if they are unwilling to address problems then it's already over

  5. The problem with the USMNT is that they're only focused on moving past the group stage. That tells me they're not even going to try to be in the final. The other teams are like: "We'll fight for that title." The USMNT is like: "Well, I'd like to tie with Wales, lose against England, and try to beat Iran. If we move past the group stage, I don't want to go even against Qatar for that matter."
Even if they aren't favoured to win the competition, that's a losing attitude to adopt from the get-go.

  6. Yeah, needed more personality. That’s it. Throw in some solidarity, vibrancy, perhaps some capriciousness, a dash of audacity, maybe 3% more fidelity, add a touch of bonhomie, and we get out of the group.

Is all coaching soccer just uttering random adjectives? I mean, I’ve got a thesaurus, and I could really use the money.

  7. This on Gregg the whole team played bad but it started with roster selection and that's on the coach. He wants to play put the back with 2 Center backs that can't play out the back and then he leaves CBs who can. At home. A forward that's scoring goals and in form left at home. Berhalter also shows he wants to coach the National team like a club team. He wants them to play and fit into his system but at the international level you have to call up the best players and build a system around them to get the best out of them and Gregg doesn't understand that and this game is a prime example. Can't ask your back line to play out the back when they can't pass and have a goalkeeper that can play the ball with his feet either

  8. They come in lazy, like this game, against Wales and escape with a draw. Then play inspired futbol against England but lose by a goal. Finally with advancement on the line, they get overwhelmed by Iran's intensity (hatred of the US) and manage another draw. Wales advances, US goes home and HOPEFULLY Berhalter is left go.
