  1. This franchise unfortunately is not on fire. And it appears not even starting one under their behinds could help. Consistent with clubs re-set mode and new player’s coming in then season ending injuries that burns team chemistry, what little there is (including with the front office).

Consistent with player’s unable (lack of) to perform the number 7, 9 or 10 position (Can’t accumulate points without winning). Player’s playing out of positions. The middle or back line is….never mind. Followed by another season without team progress (tactics, strategy and cohesion), playoff appearance and just another confusing, irritating, and want to slam my head into a cement pole observing this defeated team on “La Cancha”.

Fair enough, it takes time to build a Chicago skyscraper. The kind that can climb into the clouds! I listened for years to General Manager Nelson Rodríguez and Coach Veljko Paunović after every lose and poor season; I wanted to climb into those clouds to see what made them so high. There is more than one Chicago skyscraper in this city. There are resources and venture capital to establish another MLS level soccer team (California, Ohio, Florida, or Texas). Hopefully that Lincoln Yards project gets dusted off and the USL teams get support. Or, continue to be a part time neutral and watch Minnesota United, FC Cincinnati, or Nashville SC.

The most disappointing feeling is being void of the motivation to travel around the region. To witness the growth of professional MLS as compared to the past NASL. To absorb the energy and excitement traveling to another soccer city, meet people, witness the landscapes and architecture of the new stadiums.

  3. At least this ref's decision didn't directly impact the result of the game, unlike the egregious missed offside call in the Cincinnati v. Columbus game. Still, wtf was that red? What matters here is that the better team won. MLS and horrendous refereeing go together like peanut butter and jelly.

  4. Love Arlo W and Tony M calling the fire games, great to listen to, too bad the team is still stuggling to find winning seasons,,,,, support my local club, hoping for another 1998 yr soon so Arlo and Tony can get more excited…

  5. The ref should be reprimanded by the league – horrendous red card call! I'm betting the odds support that the linesman that called the Chicago goal offside is more likely to be reprimanded. That said, the game was much more entertaining once MTL was down a man. The main thing is, the best team won.

  6. I know Slonina is the one who will play for Chelsea (or at least will start a decade-long EuroTrip of loans), but if you ask me, Breza is definitely not less talented than him. Even though I want him to stay at Montreal, I think he also deserves to move to Europe

  7. И в этом матче весьма сомнительное удаление. Парням из Чикаго надо натренировать Слонину не только отбивать мячи, но и забивать их в ворота соперников!!))) хахахаха.
