Quite the turnaround for Seattle, making it all the way to the final. Last season they only had 1 point after 10 games.
@Deni Pike I was there. Your assessment is right on. As a Reign fan, it was tough. I began to worry after I watched the Portland match. The Reign just didn't have any intensity until the last 10 minutes of this match. The Reign just had no offensive answer to the Kansas City defense. Kansas City deserved this win.
Presently, no better working combination than Cheney-Holiday and A-Rod. FCKC defense was brilliant, as always!

KCFC's defense was pretty impressive, especially with all the really good strikers and playmakers that Seattle has. An exciting game to the closing whistle. Can't wait for next year, and the WWC!

Hate to say it, I called this game naming FCKC the deserving champs a while ago.
They were phenomenal today in shutting down Seattle, every FCKC player shined brightly.
Megan Rapinoe was the only player for Seattle that came close to making opportunities and actually closing one. (Glad she is on the USWNT.)
