  1. This is not a disaster. This is how qualification works. If the Italians were serious about qualifying they would invest in youth and not depend on older, extremely skilled players that pretty much everyone knows what is in their skill set. The complaining I have read by players claiming the method of qualifying isn't fair is sour grapes. Play better. Stop making excuses.

  2. Disaster for the whole world? Italians do live in their own little world, don't they? They didn't play 2018 and the tournament continued just fine, I support italy but arrogance is gross.

  3. I honestly think Italy only won the Euros because France were not at their best at the tournament. Had Italy played France in the semi final I think they would have lost in 90 minutes.

  4. I've noticed that when a European league (PL, La Liga, Serie A) does well it correlates to the national team. If you look at the early 2000's, Serie A was very strong with teams like AC Milan winning champions leagues. In the Late 2000's early 2010's Barcelona and La Liga lead the way and it correlated into success for the Spanish National team. Mid 2010's you had the Bundesliga doing well with Bayern and Dortmund which saw success for the German National team. And now you have the Premier League dominating which is also showed dividend's in the English National team. All in all what I'm trying to get at is the reason why the Italian National side is starting to fall apart is because the Serie A has become a weak league and time has caught up to players like Chiellini who cant inspire the squad like they did in the Euros.

  5. No, no Frank, you're wrong. It is not a disaster at all, to any world, footballing or not. North Macedonia wanted it more, obviously Italy went into it thinking it was going to be easy!
