  1. Two things that amaze me right now. First the center ref thinking that was even a foul on the Sounders, let alone a penalty and 2, that MLS has managed to only use Sounders announcers for the game highlights twice over the course of the entire season and one of those times was week 2 back in March.

  2. Everything about that call was backwards. Should have been against the caps but he gives it agains the sounders. Should have been outside the box but he gives it as a penalty. Even his original call was blatantly wrong by ignoring the double jeopardy rule and giving both the penalty and the red card. How can a professional ref get so many things wrong at once?

  3. Literally no point having VAR in the MLS. If the officials even look at it which they rarely do when needed their calls tend to be shite. At this point it seems like a conspiracy. I’m assuming MLS uses the same rules for checking VAR as other major leagues & I haven’t seen a single mistake after going to review in the premier league or a mistake regarding not reviewing the incident. Meanwhile in the MLS at least once a weekend we see a horrible mistake of this caliber. Reflects very poorly on the league as a whole. If we want respect from other countries with developed leagues this is surely a step we must take.

  4. If you don’t look at the play carefully, it seems as though cavalinni dived, but in this occupation, both roots clipped each other at the same time so it’s a hard one to call

  5. All MLS teams should seriously consider hiring non-North Americans as the commentators for their broadcasts. WTF is a turf cutter? And then calling the red card on the Whitecaps a "straight red" when in actuality it was simply a second yellow (which he acknowledged before calling it a straight red). These no-futbol-playing commentators further degrade the quality of the North American futbol export. What a joke ?

  6. The MLS should be ashamed of themselves. I understand that the refs are human, but time and time again the referees make highly questionable calls even with access to VAR.

  7. That referee should be fired. I don’t understand how anyone can review that and make the decision he did. Idiotic and embarrassing. I thought he should have done better on that call BEFORE the review. Mind blowing how that wasn’t overturned.
