  1. It’ll be 2-4 teams a season into the bottom league. Top teams won’t be able to get relegated as they’ll have to much money to be relegated 2 times. Who determines who goes into the bottom tier every season with 5-7 league in contest to go into it.

  2. All teams will follow what Real Madrid and Barcelona do. This is Mickelson throwing himself in front of the oncoming train of hate press and speculation about the future of the sport all over again. Less than two years later world's number 3 joined LIV and it's becoming bigger than ever including potentially merging with PGA Tour.
People don't realize just how much the "event organizers" have been exploiting the actual member clubs and athletes who bring in the ratings and money. No one entity owns the sport, and if for whatever reason there's fresh investment, it's always the already powerful that try to stop others from getting their chance at a better payday.
The fans love the players and the clubs, not FIFA or UEFA or whomever else is putting together the tournament. The Champions League theme song is booed in many stadiums and these people pretend like they're the guardian angels of the sport. Please.

  3. FLORENTINO IS SAYING THAT THE NEW YOUNGER CROWD IS NOT WATCHING THE FULL 90 MINUTES ?? THEY CANT WATCH ANYTHING LONGER THAN 5 MINUTES, AND NOW ARE BEING USED BY FLORENTINO AND HIS GREEDY FRIENDS AS AN EXCUSE, SCREW THEM ALL

  4. NO MORE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE?? NO MORE FIFA WORLD CUP?? SCREW THE SUPER LEAGUE AND ITS GREEDY SUPPORTERS. NO WAY i WILL WATCH A REAL MADRID MANCHESTER UNITED IN NEW YORK, IT WOULD SUCK SO MUCH.

  5. Tv rights are declining because these greedy bastards keep charging everyone for everything. NFL, NBA, Football, your favorite shows – everyone has a subscription or service. Stop forcing subscriptions to every individual thing and maybe they’d come back.

  6. La Liga, Seria A, Portuguese League, should merge and do their own Super League. If they can get the Bundesliga and Ligue 1 in there great. The Premier League already hoggs all the money on all levels and has done for now 3 decades. Maybe keep it for the European Union countries. It makes alot more sense. UEFA as it stands the PL will generally walk over everyone in Conference League Europa League and in CL there is just 3 clubs outside the PL that can compete financially. Their revenues are soooo high that this year every PL club is in the top 30 richest revenue clubs in the world and just 10 will be outside the PL. The Premier League is only getting richer. This is the only way they can catch up or stabalize European football on a financial level. Aston Villas and West Hams revenue in the Conference League this year and last year was just so high in comparison to their competition. Same goes for the Europa League. Liverpool West Ham and Brighton are miles ahead of everyone except Leverkusen. Then they can keep their players longer and pay higher wages. They can reclaim and dominate the Central South American transfer market and get more international players and managers playing in the Super League.

  7. And just to prove how scared UEFA are, they quickly scrapped their proposed new format of the CL to stay with the current format. So that alone tells you that they were in it just to get more $ and how corrupt they are. Yet poeple here cant see it and accept that UEFA is basically the super league already.

  8. my idea is

1 automatic qualifiers will be the top 8 domestic super cup winners in the uefa club coefficient and the winner between the three english domestic competition winners

2 the other 46 super cup winners will go to the qualifying rounds for the other 11 places

  9. The Super League was only serious thing when the English Premier League were involved. It is now illegal for English teams to join the Super League and fans have made it clear they do not want Premier League clubs in a Super League.

A Super League without English teams is worth nothing, because Italian, Spanish, German and French clubs don’t drive global viewership anywhere near the level of English teams, so they will not get top tier TV contracts for a league with no English teams.

I get why Real Madrid and Barcelona want it because they see the writing on the wall. They both will be bankrupt in 20 years because they overspend on wages while the La Liga contract is shrinking in value. They literally have to win the champions league every year to break even. The Super League is the only thing that can save them financially, but they will not get the money they expect without English teams.

  10. UEFA and FIFA needed this kick up their backside for having the monopopy on football for so long to bend it to their whim. Super league is nothing new since CL is more or less cut from the same cloth, and i dont want to hear any holier than thou sanctimonious bullcrap from anyone. The PL birth was the same likewise FFP protecting the then big 6. Now that they have competition for their $ cow, they are all riled up and crying wolf. So check yourseld in the mirror before condemning the SL.

  11. Personally I'm all for organisations like UEFA and FIFA being given competition. So the Super League whether it happens or not, for me I don't care about that as much as I care about UEFA and FIFA being put in check. If UEFA and FIFA had it their way rn, we would have never got things like the Premier League. The UCL format was getting stale and the next one is even worse, so if clubs see another way of evolving modern competition to make things more fun, then let them do it. Again I'll say whether that newer shinier competition will be the Super League or not, I don't care, I just care that UEFA and FIFA should not be allowed to hold a monopoly on football. Africa already had it's Super League, nobody complained about it (not even FIFA) because it didn't affect UEFA so let's have something that can challenge the UCL as well, once more I say whether that will be the Super League or not I don't care.
