Following another draw for Chelsea, this time a 0-0 effort vs. Wolves, Steve Nicol and Craig Burley debate whether or not Chelsea have lost too much ground to Manchester City and Liverpool in the Premier League title race.

I don't think we are out of the title race yet. Kante and Kova have come back, and I think that will benefit us a lot in the upcoming fixtures. We do have a tough schedule ahead of us in January, as we face Spurs, Man City, and Liverpool, so I think that is when we can really say if we are out of the title race.
The title is not a cup competition and the very best team emerges after 38 games. I think Chelsea are a great side but behind City and Liverpool. City are my favourites as they schooled Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and were better than Liverpool at Anfield too. Liverpool have Salah and in fact a great forward line – but are weaker at the back and AFCON will hit them hard. City are strong all round and just hitting their imperious best with 8 wins on the bounce. 1. City 2. Liverpool 3. Chelsea. Margin of six points plus.
nobody answers the real questions , one goes after city another goes after covid.
yes
Vaccine won't and haven't helped.
Technical no but I don't see anyone stopping City when they in their romp
If Chelsea are out, then Liverpool are also out. Unless 3 points is the cut off between second and 3rd? Last week chelsea were in the title race, now they aren't, and next week back again possibly. Why do you propose such stupid and patronising questions? It's as if this whole discussion is to be for shock value rather than actual interesting perspectives.
More than half a pl season left… and you want to judge whether a team you claimed to be in the title race, is now suddenly out of it?
Those pundits should be smart enough to know that Chelsea were just lucky win their recent cup success.
Yes, Chelsea is out of the tittle race
Craig speaking facts.
U people even considering to think of it???
they were never in it, had pep not suffered braindamage the day of the cl final chelski wouldn't have anything
lmfao i hope cska Chelskyi "fans" didnt actually think they could compete with Liverpool and Sheikh City over a whole season
Ah so nice to see these bias pundits seeing negative results 4 their old sides. Not only are they clueless but don't know a dumb thing on punditry they are just fans .
Stevie : oh Kane should be sent off , u never felt that way when it's a Liverpool guy dishing out tackles.
Burley: mmmmmmm Chelsea , Chelsea Chelsea let's just Chelsea ?
Hislop/don; Newcastle will win the league far quicker than arsenal ?% but In a planet called ' dream on'???
Robo: confused doesn't know whether his bald or 4gt his wig?
Laurens , frank and gabs are probably the only professional pundits out there on ESPN
Man City and Paul Tierney are too strong this season
City will drop points
It’s the first half of the season 6 points behind how are they out of it lol
Everyone needs to chill with the hyberbole. Wouldn't be having this conversation if everyone wasn't freaking out about how good they were, when in reality they looked exactly the same as now. And in 5 weeks they might be back in it because it's football.
my question though: is this necessarily SO different than injuries? Someone can suddenly be out a couple weeks; the biggest difference seems the number of players suddenly out but championships decided by injuries…I mean, just look at last season's Liverpool squad with no center backs.
The vaccine does not prevent you from getting the virus. As a healthcare worker we are still seeing large amounts of vaccinated people getting the virus.
Premier league players and managers should be fully vaccinated together with all the officials. Vaccination should be compulsory. Horrible management by Premier league so far.
For some reason I see arsenal finishing above Chelsea
Chelsea 5 Def 2Dm
How much were they gonna rely on those defensive play?
At some point of time they have to come out and attack and they did and drop point. Simple fact come on.
LFC and City are always in thread bcoz whenever they are in position they are with 2 CB and 1 DM to protect them.
But bcoz of their style of play its not always easy to penetrate them.. unlike Chelsea who have the quality but lack that penetration until their opponents commit more men upfront they take their chances.
Why havent they vaccinated like other leagues then? Isnt epl supposed to lead by an example?
True. Chelsea is out of the title race.
CL win covered some of their big issues.
Their attack simply isnt good enough.
@Is Chelsea out of the title race? ARE Chelsea out of the title race?
Craig should offer to compensate players for any vaccine injury.
Enough players to play? when we had kante whos just come back from injury, was rushed back, and kovacic whos just come back from long term injury and covid.
The blessing this year was losing to west ham and coming out of the Caraboa cup (especially at an early stage) we have won it 4 times in a row, we don't need to win it again. Players get rested midweek from injury or fatigue. Our next opponent will be playing on Wednesday.
I suppose it’s all ok until it happens to your team. Mateo Kovačić was out for 2 months then got covid and payed 1 day after returning how’s that putting a players safety first . Like too see anyone else in a normal demanding job do that
Liv and chelsea are way better than Man City
How will getting players vaccinated help. Most of us have been boosted and we are going into a lockdown. Plus if vaccinated you can still carry and pass the cold on.
Thanks to Romelu Lukaku for the 115mln euros. That was a really big sell.

This is one is city's to lose really Chelsea is already on the downfall and when the afcon begins Liverpool will begin to struggle
Chelsea has never been a threat from the beginning. Tuchel came in and fortuitously disrupted Pep in the Champions league and suddenly became the best!
Liverpool had to deal with Covid positive players and a squad decimated by injuries last year
Chelsea making too much excuses
Thats the most level headed and sane discussion ive seen on this show
Most of the managers know how to deal with Chelsea's tactics.
The coach must come up with another one.
Glad fergie lived to see city win everything
