  4. Seriously though, how do you decide to make a tackle like this in the box, the studs up, the timing, and the overall decision is just terrible. Why slide?? Just defend like a normal human being standing and reacting

  9. Fucking bad refereeing…Nathan's tackle was completely reckless. Hell, we've seen countless times where a yellow and reds have been given through tackles that had although making contact with ball at first, but recklessness in the follow through, this wasn't even that. Nathan had studs showing and I don't even believe got ball first….He also even went to VAR.

  18. Man that was poor play by the Sounders. Their head was not in the game and looking forward to the finals. They still have the flaw of being either red hot or sloppy and off the mark. Credit to Quakes for staying in this game but the Sounders defensively gave them that game. I mean the second and 3rd goal was an absolute disgrace. But I am also upset that the ref declined giving a red via VAR in an actual clear and obvious error but would overturn a soft push in the back (at the end of the day it was a push but the Quakes player seemed like they milked the push to make it look worse). If you're not going to act on VAR for the red because you're keeping in mind it was just the 10th minute, then you should have the same mentality for giving a harsh penalty in extra time on a tied game. I just would appreciate some consistency. But still, it's the Sounders own fault for being in that position

  29. Sad truth is Sounders don't care if they lose one MLS game while playing in the Champions League Final. One loss in MLS match is not a big deal. But it is a big deal for Earthquakes!!!

  30. Sounders fan here. They lost fair and square. However, that early penalty should have been an automatic red card!!! In any other league on this planet it would have been. It was way high on the leg with studs up.

  47. One can say whatever about the defenses of both sides, but Ted Unkel's refereeing is of the poorest. He has either misinterpreted what the VAR monitor is for, or someone paid him off.
