FC Dallas is great at finding and developing young talent and they have built another good team, but this is what happens just about every season with them when they have a good team: they surge at the beginning, taper off a bit around June or July, and then fade in the end. If they can keep the team together and let them develop into their primes, they might be able to challenge clubs like Seattle in a couple of seasons, but what they usually do is sell their best players to Europe, possibly reinvest some of the money in the club, and pocket the rest. If you want to win silverware in sports and you're not a big name market like LA or Seattle, you have to be willing to spend money to keep your best young players rather than just selling them off to the first European club that expresses interest. Imagine how good they could be if Pepi were still playing for them instead for some obscure club in Germany. It will definitely be better for him to be playing in Germany long-term, but they could have kept him for another year or two, developed him even more, and then sold him to a bigger club for a lot more money.

  34. Sry but why is everybody trying to shoot from 40 meters out while there are so many better options to just pass and keep pressure on the defence. Especially Velasco from FC Dallas had a few shockers from distance.

  35. Can MLS players PLEASE STOP TAKING POT SHOTS OUTSIDE THE BOX ALL THE FUCKING TIME!? It's goddamn pathetic. It's worse when they take these shots while being CROWDED BY DEFENDERS and having ZERO SPACE to shoot. It's fucking irritating to watch.

  41. Sounders fan here ! Sounders won the champions league but that's all they winning. They don't have the squad to win the league. I'm sorry but you see all these players being added to squads and the Sounders only make one move and get rusnak whose playing in a position he wasn't playing at rsl where he was good. Sounders have basically had the same roster for the longest. Unless they add a play making winger or a combo player who can play inside and outside to give ruidiaz a little rest especially since he coming off an injury I would not be shocked if this the first year they miss the playoffs. I mean even last year they were ruidiaz or bust looking a lot of the same this year also. And I saw lafc added another player like damn how many mouths and egos they trying to feed !
