  1. I'm happy for the city of Austin getting its first pro team, but I'm sad and disappointed for my home town of San Antonio WHO PUT A LOT OF WORK AND EFFORT with Bexar county, the City of San Antonio, and the SAN ANTONIO SPURS who submitted a bid for expansion along with 11 other cities to be considered as the next MLS expansion club. SAN ANTONIO HAS PROVEN THAT IT HAS a HUGE SOCCER FAN BASE, but it was passed over for Austin (who BTW didn't submit an expansion bid) and that SHADY AND NON-TRANSPARENT ANTHONY PRECOURT who sat down and had influence in the MLS expansion committee. San Antonio is the 7th largest city in the US and 2nd largest city in Texas and the SPURS WORKED HARD TO BRING A MLS FRANCHISE HERE. I'm hoping that San Antonio can some how bring in a Liga MX expansion club since the MLS passed on the city of San Antonio and ONE OF THE GREATEST SPORTS ORGANIZATIONS IN THE COUNTRY THE SPURS SPORTS & ENTERTAINMENT. THIS WAS A HUGE CONFLICT OF INTEREST and SHAME ON THE MLS for letting this happen to San Antonio. SAN ANTONIO FÚTBOL CLUB (SAFC) would have been a great Club in the MLS.

  2. We Brazilian find it amazing his constructive attitude. Putting soccer where it should belong in terms of publicity in US sports. Well done, US has lots of potential in terms of becoming a great and respected soccer nation and strong league. MLS has evolved a lot. I recommend American fans to watch at least some of the Libertadores tournament, it has a lot to teach, I would say a complementary part of the game in comparison to the best tournament, the UEFA Champions League. Get used to watching worldwide soccer, and to competitivity of MLS will grow (as fans get to know more about soccer, and ger more demanding in a good way). Best regards for Mr. McConaughey and MLS fans.

  3. Mine is the 935th like. Two days ago, I parked at Walmart between two cars with license plates ending '934' and '935'. My scientific contribution is called '935' . It is the arrow of time and the holy grail of holy grails. Oh, and I'm a Texan and love Austin FC.

  4. The MLS needs to introduce relegation, and have lower leagues once they do this they will be the top dog as far as sports in America! You'll have communities all over the country starting up teams to compete. Do it!!!!

  5. That's awesome that McConaughey is involved. This will really get the MLS more exposure at a time when it needs a shot in the arm after COVID. The MLS was already growing and McConaughey and the Austin FC will be a great addition. My company has a huge office in Austin and the exuberance there is really high. I'm a big Atlanta United fan but I think Austin can have a ton of success and I wish them the best.

  6. Soccer is actually a term from England. When footballers started getting paid it was by associations. So they were called socs. But come on the game is football played by the foot hello. The fact we call american football football is a joke. Our modern game is based off of Australian rugby and changed because Teddy Roosevelt wanted to throw the ball which now has nothing to do with the foot. Your welcome for my education. Im excited your behind Austin FC. I think you are a special boy and Austin is your place. Ausin FC fo life. What it means to win so lets win. (McEnroe Borg – YouTube

  7. Well the MLS is the only soccer league in the world that is fun even without a pyramide with promotion or relegation, but thats because in the US didn´t exist very old traditional soccer clubs heavily connected to their cities and fans.
The only thing i am missing to fully enjoy MLS football was a team i could get behind, and i think Austin FC is ticking all the boxes for me, i like the logo and it is my favorite coulour combination too Green and Black.
Austin as a city seems to be a very nice place as well to get behind this Football team and grow a legend. And as all that wasn´t enough, Matthew McConaughey one of my favorite actors is one of their owners!
I think i can safely say i found my team to support in the MLS! Now they just have to build a nice team and an entertaining brand of Soccer.

  8. Football, better known as soccer in the US and Canada, is the most popular sport in the world, with an estimated following of 4 billion fans. Like some of the other sports on this list, the origins of football as we know it are in England in the 19th century,

  9. God I hope MLS becomes the most successful league in the world, I hope all the MLS owners become very successful with their teams, I hope the owners make a lot of money with their investment in soccer. I hope Matthew McConaughey gets a huge return of his investment in soccer, I hope he becomes very rich with soccer just like Michael Jordan became very rich through basketball. I believe soccer will become the biggest sport in our great country of United States of America.??⚽️❤️
