  1. Play the CONCACAF championship in Canada…or neutral ground. The US hosts every time and gets to play in front of home crowds in weather they get to train in.

  2. Yes they’re better. They finished 2 spots above the US in the most important games, WC Qualifying. They have a world class player and another who actually scores a lot of goals in Europe. Can the US claim anyone who scored more than a few goals a season in a top European league? No

If you watched the world baseball classic and ohtanis (sorry for misspelling) speech ahead of the match with usa is exactly what some said to these rude canadians last cycle which is why they bullied usmnt all game in wcq. Usmnt is better but they have the grit that we lack unlike past generations

  12. I think Canadas best 11 is slightly strong than the USA’s but the USA has WAY more depth. They probably have 30+ players that could make in to Canadas best 18.

  15. It’s so funny to me whenever people bring up Canada’s performance at the world cup 😂😂
    Canada was literally in Group F the group of death with at the time Belgium ranking 2nd in the world Croatia 2018 finalists and Morocco Africa’s 2nd best team at the time, all of these teams have been to the world cup and have experience. So no Canada did not do so well against them. USA would NOT DO ANY better if Canada were to switch groups with them.

  17. I think it's taken out of context . Cyle meant they're part of the big Boyz . They need more experience against top teams like the u.s. mexico and other tier 1 teams to get better.

  19. Who is this clown that Herc is talking to? Anyone who follows football closely knows Canada is the rising star of Concacaf. Now the Nation League and Gold Cup finals will both be in the USA this summer and so I believe that levels the field out as Canada will be in hostile surroundings against Panama, and Mexico or the USA. Thus I would put it as a toss up this summer and I would expect Canada to perform neck and neck with the USA and Mexico. But when the Copa America rolls around, I predict you will see a very strong Canada who will shock many good teams from S America. Not only does Canada have the top starting 11, I would say their first 18 are tops too. But as for the depth from 18 through say 30, definitely the USA and Mexico have the advantage.

    BTW Canada has the two best wingbacks/wingers in Concacaf too: Davies and Buchanan and I would put Eustaquio in the top handful of midfielders in Concacaf too. Even Canada's FBs are pretty good. Canada's CBs are weaker and that is where it balances out a little bit.

  20. If the USMNT called in an all-Euro based team, and then had some time to work together to figure out how to play with each other, I'm pretty sure the USMNT would be able to beat both Mexico and Canada.

  22. US has the better depth and overall talent. but they don't have the team chemistry. Too much infighting and squabbles. Herdman has canada playing for each other. It's a massive difference. Mexico on the other hand should be much better too.

  27. Between The USA and Mexico, Canada probably has the smallest player pool , We are slowly getting better . As a Canadian Soccer supporter I am just glad we are finally playing at a high level, The future is bright

  28. Canada has a better coach than the US and Mexico. I'm not even sure if he was better or just stuck to the basics and played to their strengths. Nothing ground breaking going on up in Canada.

  29. Nope. United States and Mexico are the favorites. Canada deserves its recognition, but they lack world experience. Their players are getting recognized but as a team they need more tournaments. Honestly being invited to Copa America tournaments would work wonders for Canada. At the rate of Mexico's stagnant football Canada may be the new Concacaf big team to beat alongside United States. Right now the players from youth academies from 2018 are showing up for the United States. I foresee the United States dominating Concacaf for the next 5 years at least.

  31. Fun Fact: If you don't realize carefully, current World Champions Argentina are now on top of the FIFA rankings for the first time since 2008 (before they were replaced by Spain after the glorious Euro 2008 campaign for Spain).

  33. The Larin comment was because he was asked about bringing their game when playing 'with the big boys of CONCACAF' in the last round of Nations League. He was saying that they're not punching above their weight class more than he was saying they're the best.

  35. Canada has the best player in CONCACAF, but they are not the best team. Their midfield and defense are weak and were exploited at the World Cup. The US, and to a lesser extent Mexico, are complete teams.

  36. I’m not sure anyone has noticed but this is a bit of an icey chilly country. I’m 51. When I grew up there were no indoor soccer facilities in my city of London Ontario. Now we have a massive one. And lots of fields but the playing season is short and every sport here competes with hockey. The ice kind. The thing we dominate the planet at. Oh, sorry, other thing. We also own curling.

  37. The US & Mexico are still the kings until Canada starts racking up hardware. I also think canada is lacking when it comes to the CB position. Chris Richards is a young CB prospect in the US who has a decent amount of talent but is buried in their depth chart. He'd be good enough to be Canada's #1 U25 talent at centerback… heck, i could probably extend that to U30 if i'm being honest. You'd think that a country as cold & rugged as canada would be pumping out CB's like nothing but they aren't.

    Canada played with the 2nd highest high line @ the world cup and faltered as a result because their CB talent + some of their midfield talent weren't good enough in isolation to stop transition attacks. I feel like Canada are making good strides in midfield but the CB corps is still weak. That's what needs to change… either that or Canada needs to play a deeper line.

  39. Canada has no history. Mexico is not having a good generation of players ,but never underestimate the king. And United States has good players, but let's see how many trophies they win. Pulisic,. mackennie and adams are 24 yrs old. Still young but not so much anymore

If they wanna be top they gotta win this two trophies this year if not they still not even top 3 in concacaf history and still be behind Costa Rica don’t sleep on Panama they are playing good football right now and but I have a feeling it’s gonna be too much for Panama so they got a a chance for going for both for me they ain’t winning
